The International Motorcycle Show was this weekend in Charlotte NC so my myself, my father, and daughter decided to head down to see what was new and some of the old in the moto world. Of course the trip would not be complete with out a sampling of a favorite of mine, a fast growing German style beer garden called
VBGB, short for very big German beer. I'll start off at the end with the food, as this is a food blog, and then I have a good amount of pics from the Motorcycle show share so I hope you enjoy.
VBGB is a great place for the whole family they have a huge open space outside that is fenced in with ladder golf and corn hole. They add something new every time we go and with the 40+ beers on tap (none generic) and a great menu selection good times are easily found. We started off with 3 of these

| awesome pretzel |
these pretzels are the best pretzels I have ever had and everyone that has been with me agrees. They are grilled and not baked and they are served with a home made beer cheese. Next it was on to the main courses. My dad had the brat (left) which is nitrate and MSG free and loaded with kraut and gtilled peppers served on a pretzel bun. To the right there are roasted potato's and Black and Tan onion rings both are great. The burger on the right is a half of a pound Angus ground beef with anything you want on it served on a pretzel bun.
Of course we had to wash all of this down with some tasty beer I had the Nada Coco Loco a dark ale with plenty of flavor. The choco in the title hints to a Chocolate note in the beer and that's what it delivers, but its a smooth beer despite the look.
